Dr. Mukesh Patekar

Dr. Mukesh Patekar serves as the Unit Head of Medical Oncology at Artemis Hospitals.
He is a highly respected medical and hemato-oncologist, trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, with a vast experience spanning 15 years.
Dr. Patekar’s expertise covers various aspects of oncology, including medical oncology, hemato-oncology, pediatric oncology, stem cell transplantation, precision therapy, as well as pain and palliative medicine.
He is dedicated to developing a comprehensive cancer care model that encompasses psycho-oncology, nutritional aspects, and allied branches while delivering world-class services.
Dr. Patekar firmly believes that early detection and preventive oncology strategies are pivotal for achieving better survival rates and improving the quality of life for patients.

His qualifications include MBBS from MUHS Nashik, MD in Medicine from AIIMS, and DM in Medical Oncology also from AIIMS.

He has received various honors and awards, including winning the ABSICON-2018 Quiz, securing the 2nd Prize in a National Medical Quiz, and earning the 3rd Prize in the Best Thesis competition at ICON – KOCHI.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Patekar focuses on areas like breast and lung oncology, immunotherapy/precision therapy, gastrointestinal oncology/hepato-pancreatico biliary malignancies, gynecological/genitourinary malignancies, neuro-oncology/sarcomas, and hemato-oncology (lymphomas, leukemias) along with stem cell transplantation (BMT).
