Dr. Sanjeev Gulati

Dr. Sanjeev Gulati, with over 30 years of experience, is the Director of Nephrology at Fortis Vasant Kunj.
His special expertise lies in managing kidney transplants and children with renal diseases, and he has gained experience at leading hospitals in the UK, Australia, and Canada.
Dr. Gulati played a pivotal role in the Dialysis and Transplant program at SGPGI, Lucknow, which is among the largest programs in the country.
Previously, he worked as an Additional Professor in Nephrology at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, and as an Associate Professor in Pediatric Nephrology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada.
He has presented papers at numerous international and national conferences and has published over 130 scientific papers in indexed journals, including NEJM, Kidney International, and the American Journal of Kidney Diseases.
Dr. Gulati has authored 20 chapters in textbooks, including the prestigious Oxford Textbook of Nephrology and Comprehensive Pediatric Nephrology, and has written a book on Childhood Renal Diseases.
He has received several awards for his original contributions to the field of kidney diseases, including recognition from the Indian Council of Medical Research, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Indian Society of Nephrology, and various international organizations.
Dr. Gulati is the Vice President of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation and a member of the Governing Body of the Indian Society of Nephrology. He also serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals like Pediatrics, American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Pediatric Nephrology, and Indian Pediatrics, among others.
He holds degrees in MBBS from the University of Delhi (1985), MD in Pediatrics from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (1989), and DNB in Pediatrics from the DNB board, New Delhi (1991).
Dr. Gulati has received several awards and recognitions throughout his career, including the Best Abstract award at the Asian Pacific Congress of Nephrology in Kuala Lumpur (2008), the Best Paper award in Clinical Nephrology at the Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Nephrology in New Delhi (2008), and the Best Poster award in Clinical Nephrology at the 33rd National Conference of the Indian Society of Nephrology (2002). He was also awarded the ISN NKF scholarship at the Satellite meeting of the World Congress of Nephrology in Singapore (2005).
